Supportive
The community of Orange Tea School extends far beyond the classroom. Most students remain with us for several years & connections form between children and families that go deeper than birthday parties and school events. The whole family is considered a part of the OTS community and support flows from our school to our families and from our families to our school.
Hyperlocal
We believe that the future is hyperlocal and we apply this concept to many aspects of our business. First, a primary factor we use when prioritizing potential applicants is proximity to the school. We have found that having classmates as neighbors is very helpful in developing a robust community. Second, we shop local. From all of our delicious organic food to craft supplies and cleaning products, we always source as locally as possible.
Fun
Play is a value that we prioritize across our community from our youngest toddlers to parents & teachers. These days there is so much good research on the power and importance of play. Whether it’s play in the conventional sense of toys and games or adults adopting an attitude of play within life’s mundane tasks, prioritizing play enhances emotional, social and intellectual pursuits for humans of all ages.
